We’re just one day away from the start of the WWE Draft for 2021. Between Smackdown, RAW, and NXT 2.0 – the rosters are going to be shuffled up. While generally brands will want to take entire tag teams, there’s always been cases of teams being split up. Even during the first ever WWE draft – The Dudley Boyz were split up, with D’Von going to Smackdown and Bubba Ray to RAW. Now in 2021, it looks like The Street Profits could be facing the same fate.
Montez Ford Shining In Singles Could Mean The End Of The Street Profits
While Street Profits are one of the top tag teams in WWE today, it’s clear that Montez Ford is a breakout star in the making. He’s got charisma for days, is an incredibly well rounded wrestler with excellent high flying – and has the look of a star. Ford recently went 18 minutes on Smackdown Live with Roman Reigns, and nearly beat the reigning and defending WWE Universal Champion.
Having singles potential in WWE means that generally, they won’t worry about killing a tag team. Sometimes they even just split up tag teams to put people in other tag teams, but the point is – no one is safe in the WWE draft. They split up Heavy Machinery, they split up The New Day, and they could split up Street Profits.
Angleo Dawkins Has Another Gear He Can Unleash
However, while he’s not viewed as the breakout star of the team, Angelo Dawkins is not too concerned. Both he and Montez Ford know this is a possibility, and both know that together or alone – they’re top talents. While speaking with Rick Ucchino of Sportskeeda, Dawkins would say the following.
“Not a lot of people know what I can bring to the table. I’m the powerhouse of the team. So like not many people have seen me really move. I don’t really need to fly because I got the flyer next to me. You know what I’m saying? I got Tez with me. So my job is just to go out there and run people over and knock them down and throw them and all that types of stuff. And I let him handle the high-flying stuff. So, if it ever happens to where we’re on different brands, I think I got a different side that nobody’s ever seen of me before to show.”
