AEW Dynamite has had some drops in viewership over the past weeks; this week’s viewership hit 1.053 million. This dip is from the 1.273 million the week before. It’s the lowest viewership since September 1st. Even though the show was built around the debut of Bobby Fish and the main event being the massive Casino Royale Ladder match. That saw the return of Hangman Page to set up the rematch against Kenny Omega. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to be enough to break back into the higher viewership.
Why is this happening?
It’s possible that the competition is just too great at the moment, with the MLB taking most of the number through the night. However, AEW does take a hit every time they have a massive competitor running at the same time. So it’s not a massive surprise that they took a hit this time. As they have had some hits in the past, but that doesn’t mean it will continue.
Will it continue to go down?
Now that the PPV is starting to get built it taking place on November 13th. It’s possible that the viewership will gradually build-up to the show. It will most likely take a dip before the PPV event. As it usually does, but the rise will most likely happen up to the build-up to Full Gear. The build-up to the match between Kenny Omega and Hangman should be an enjoyable one, and seeing where other roster members end up on the card in the coming weeks.
