Last night we got a real treat of a main event to cap off a solid episode of Monday Night RAW. It was a Fatal Four Way ladder match to decide the new top contender for Big E’s WWE Championship. Seth Rollins, Rey Mysterio, Finn Balor & Kevin Owens all stepped up to the plate, and everyone got a lot of time to shine in this match.
In the end, Seth Rollins stood tall, but this might be the final time Kevin Owens wrestles in a WWE ring. With this contract up in January, and Owens ending the night laying on a broken ladder after another crazy bump, things could be nearing their end for this chapter of his career.
Kevin Owens Thanks His Fans After The Show
After the match, Owens would take some time to thank his fans on Twitter, saying the following.
“I really don’t know what to say other than thank you all for your continued support and kind words. It really means a lot.
The day I stop giving it my absolute all in that ring is the day I walk away. Not a second sooner.
P.S. Rey Mysterio is the best.”
Owens is someone who thanks his fans quite frequently however, making this fairly normal. However, generally you thank your fans like this before taking the next step in your career – which is coming up very soon.
Contract Ends With WWE In January 2022
Kevin Owens last signed a WWE contract back in January of 2018, which was a 5 year deal. While it can be hard to believe, that amount of time is quickly coming to a close. Over that span, Owens has not really accomplished much in WWE, having no major title reigns or accomplishments to show.
A solid feud with Roman Reigns over the WWE Universal Championship and a return to NXT for a WarGames match were great to see, but WWE hasn’t been keen on using Owens as the star that he is. Meanwhile, he’s got some great friends over in All Elite Wrestling including Adam Cole & The Young Bucks – and as shown by names like Bobby Fish signing recently, they are nowhere near done filling out their roster.
Do you think WWE will keep using Kevin Owens on TV with his contract ending very soon? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
