Malakai Black has quickly become one of the best things in AEW. But it seems like the start of his story within AEW. However, through the first couple of months in AEW. There has been constraint mention of the House of Black, but no other wrestlers have joined the house. One that could join may be Brody King, who is currently signed with ROH.
Brody King is currently one of the top wrestlers in ROH and has competed for the ROH championship multiple times, one of the latest being up against Rush. However, his contract in ROH lets him wrestle in NJPW. Currently, we don’t know when Brody King could be the first member to join the House of Black.
Why Would Brody King Join Malakai Black?
Malakai Black and Brody King already seem to have an excellent relationship with them recently releasing merchandise together and winning the tag team belts in PWG. It started to feel like Malakai, and Brody King will be working together a lot in the near future. This is surprising as both wrestlers are signed with different companies.
It seems like if Malakai Black was going to make a House of Black faction, which seems to be happening soon. Brody King would possibly be Malakai’s first choice for a member. Also, if we learnt anything from AEW in the last 3 years, friends in high places can get you signed at the top company.
Could this be a forbidden Door Deal?
ROH is currently one of the only big companies who have not been included in the forbidden door crossover, obviously apart from WWE. They could benefit from the crossover on the same level Impact wrestling has done. ROH currently have been sharing talent between them and ROH for a while, with them even holding PPV’s together. It’s possible that Brody King could be the first wrestler in the crossover.
Andrade is teasing a new tag team to face the Lucha Bros. It’s possible that this could be Dragon Lee and Rush due to them being in a faction together in the past. The fact that Malakai and Brody are working together a lot through the indies. It seems likely we will see them together in a larger company sooner rather than later.
