Former American Idol contestant and musician Chris Daughtry has been left devastated by the reported news that his stepdaughter’s death was a homicide.

According to TMZ, the authorities believe that there was foul play involved before Hannah Price was found dead. This begs the question, why do the police believe this and who could be responsible?
Well, as of now, Bobby Jolly, who happens to be Hannah’s boyfriend, has been arrested. It is not clear why he was taken in, but he was apprehended on the same day that Hannah’s body was discovered.
And as can be expected, this has had a detrimental impact on Chris. In an official statement following Hannah’s death, he said: “I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken.
“Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. They are truly felt and appreciated. I will be taking a break from social media to be present with my family.”
As a consequence, Chris has cancelled his upcoming tour in order to get his head together. After all, he will need to ensure that his mental health is in a good state to be there for his wife, Deanna Daughtry.
And even if he does manage to keep himself together, there is always the feeling that he may never return to the stage due to the pain that this death has caused.
Nevertheless, Chris has to remain strong for those kids who are still here. Deanna has one child from a previous relationship, Griffin, who is Hannah’s brother, while she and Chris have two children together: Adalynn Rose and Noah James.
With that in mind, the response on social media has been full of positive energy and support. Chris’ fans recognise that this is a difficult moment, and they have responded in kind.
One fan wrote: “My heart goes out to him. I lost my 30 yr old son last month due to an idiot who decided to get high and drive. No pain like a parent burying a child.”
Let us hope that Chris is able to bounce back from this. It will be difficult, but with his family there to support him, anything is possible.
