American rapper G-Eazy has held his hands up by pleading guilty to charges claiming that he was involved in a brawl at a nightclub bringing an end to the long, drawn-out case.
American Rapper G-Eazy Avoids Jail Time By Pleading Guilty To Assaulting Someone At A NightClub
The incident was alleged to have occurred in September, which left one person reportedly needing stitches. To make matters even more intriguing, a high-profile person was caught in the crossfire.
It turns out a member from the entourage of G-Eazy had apparently ended up hitting Daniel Chetrit on the head. The latter is well connected, given that his acquaintances include Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.
It is not clear whether G-Eazy had been involved in assaulting Daniel, but his very presence showed another thing: It is not the first time that G-Eazy has been in trouble with the authorities.
In 2018, he was allegedly arrested after punching a security guard. In addition, he was also found to be in possession of cocaine. The result of all this meant an apparent $9,000 fine.
But given that the case had been ongoing for a while, G-Eazy’s admission has now brought an end to the proceedings. According to reports by TMZ, “[G-Easy has been charged [with misdemeanour assault and ordered to steer clear of the alleged victims.
“We’re told the protective order will remain in place.” This begs the question, what will the punishment be? Well, by pleading guilty, he will avoid time behind bars. But in doing so, the rapper will complete a rehabilitation programme entitled ‘Manhattan Justice Opportunities sessions.’
The organisation prides itself on reforming individuals who often get themselves on the wrong side of the law: “Our social workers and case managers strive to make each case an opportunity to positively alter the direction of a person’s life.
“[We connect] participants with social services to address the underlying issues that often fuel involvement with the justice system.”
Time will tell whether G-Eazy has learnt from this. His track record so far has shown a tendency to keep making mistakes. Let us hope that G-Eazy can change his ways and focus on getting back to what he does best: hitting the music scene.
