The moment Franky Monet was released from WWE NXT – everyone knew what we could expect from her. As Taya Valkyrie, she ruled over both AAA Women’s division and the Impact Wrestling knockouts division. Both companies will be hoping to get her back, and tonight during the pre show of AAA Triplemania Regia 2021 – Valkyrie laid down a challenge.
Deonna Purrazzo Has A Big Problem In Taya Valkyrie
With her non-compete clause done, Taya Valkyrie is now a free agent once again. Wasting zero time, she would call out the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, Deonna Purrazzo for a coming mat. Tonight won’t see this match, with the card already set – including FTR defending the AAA World Tag Team Championships against The Lucha Bros, and a five way for the vacant AAA Mega Championship.
Valkyrie was last seen in AAA back in December 2019, involved in a Lumberjack match at AAA’s Guerra de Titanes. The three time AAA Reina de Reinas Champion is incredibly popular in the region, and could be the best possible pick to become the next champion. Purazzo won the belt at AAA TripleMania XXIX, and has yet to make a defense.
Mickie James Needs To Watch Out
With her return to AAA already in play, Impact Wrestling is likely to be next. Taya Valkyrie was once the Impact Knockouts Champion for a staggering 377 days, the longest reign in company history. Alongside current champion Mickie James, she is among the greatest champions in the brands history – and soon they could be clashing.
Mickie James is currently set to face Kiera Hogan in a title defense tonight at NWA Hard Times 2. Madison Rayne & Mercedes Martinez have already fallen to James during her current reign – with a rematch with Purrazzo seeming to be in the world for Hard to Kill.
A major PPV event would be the best place for Impact to bring Valkyrie back into the mix. Having Valkyrie & James clash could be massive – something that could even main event a PPV for Impact in 2022.
