December 2 was supposed to be a historic night for hip hop. While it still was, a big story coming out of it was a fight started by Bizzy Bone and Three 6 Mafia.
While Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Bizzy Bone was on stage getting ready to perform, apparently Three 6 Mafia member Crunchy Black started mocking him.
Fight BREAKS OUT During VERZUZ Between Three 6 Mafia and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
This set Bizzy Bone off, in which he stopped the show to call Crunchy Black and Three 6 Mafia out for their disrespect.
After he started talking about them, one of the founders of Three 6 Mafia stepped forward to speak up for the group by saying, “Suck my d***!)
This caused Bizzy Bone to snap and throw some type of bottle at Crunchy Black and Juicy J. Afterwards, all hell broke loose and the two groups charged at each other.
Shortly after, security came and broke the two up. While some members of both camps did not know what happened or why it came to this, they were still behind their camp.
After a brief cooldown, Bizzy Bone returned to the stage to apologize for the fight by saying, “I wanna apologize to everybody the fuck out there — on both sides. I’m not trying to fuck this shit up. Pardon me. Let’s keep the muthafuckin’ party going.”
Three 6 Mafia vs Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Beef
The beef between these two legendary hip hop groups started in both of their early days in rap. Both groups agreed that there really was no beef, just a misunderstanding.
Both groups had similar rapping styles and content matter in their songs. Because this was in the time before the internet (the early 90s), neither group knew about each other.
Three 6 Mafia thought that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was stealing their style because they never heard their first mixtape because it was underground.
Three 6 Mafia co-founder DJ Paul also said that they had a mixtape out at the time and it was underground, so he would understand if they never heard their tape also.
The beef was eventually phased out by putting out music together later on, but fans keep the non-existent beef going past that time.
