Anthony Garza was a backup dancer for Britney Spears during her Onyx Hotel Tour in 2004. He recently took to Instagram to drop some dirt on how the singer was controlled by the family pre-conservatorship.
Britney Spears Was Being Handled by Brother Before Conservatorship
Garza claims that Spears’ brother Bryan Spears managed all of the singer’s time while on tour. As a result, all Britney really did was work—even during downtime after shows. This would extend to when Britney Spears was off tour. Garza also went into even talking with the pop star backstage:

“We were told from the beginning that everyone would be drug tested and to keep [our] communication minimal with Britney. They told us ‘If Britney asks if you have plans…you don’t.’ ‘If Britney asks you to go somewhere…you can’t.’”
The dancer said that Britney Spear is “such a sweet person” and that she “just wanted to hang out and have fun.” This statement stemmed from a story he shared about Britney inviting the tour crew to her NYC apartment. They were supposed to all hang out but Bryan cut that little get-together off.
“Britney’s brother told us plans were canceled and Britney would be spending the evening with family, and that if Britney called don’t answer. We didn’t go and we didn’t answer and Britney sat home alone.”
According to Garza, Britney Spears was rightfully upset and came at the dancers about the no-show. They relayed that it was Bryan who told them what to do. Garza said this resulted in Britney blowing up at Bryan and her brother was ordered to apologize to the crew. Of course, Bryan hasn’t responded to Anthony Garza’s story.
