‘Counting On’ Spoilers finds that Josh Duggar is currently on trial for child pornography in Fayetteville, Arkansas where federal forensics investigator James Fottrell said that Duggar downloaded a video of a “3-month-old baby being tortured and sexually abused.”
‘Counting On’: The Allegations Mount Against Josh Duggar
Fottrell—director of the Department of Justice’s High Tech Investigative Unit—made the allegation on day three of the trial and it wasn’t the first seedy thing attributed to the 19 Kids and Counting star.

It was also reported that he downloaded media of girls—as young as five—being abused. Before that, 65 child pornography images were found on Josh Duggar’s computer. The images were reportedly downloaded in May 2019 at his former used-cars dealership.
These images and videos were shown to the jury on Thursday. While you can’t run with a “which is worse” on these allegations, being accused of having pictures or videos of a baby being molested is a hard one to explain when on trial for sexual abuse.
If you’re wondering how one defends against these heavy allegations, enter Duggar’s lawyer Justin Gelfand. He is running with the defense of someone else either downloading the images on the reality TV star’s computer or uploading them to the computer.
Prosecutors counter this notion with detailed logs showing Duggar’s computer activity at the time. According to prosecutors, Duggar downloaded the images while also sending personal messages.
The grisly details of the video reportedly featured the girl being stripped and posed on a bed where hot wax is poured on her. Of the video, Fottrell said:
“The infant is crying and screaming. It’s one of the most offensive videos that I’m familiar with throughout my whole career.”
In April 2021, Duggar was arrested on the child porn charges, and last month, he and his wife Anne welcomed their seventh child, Madyson. Duggar could face up to 40 years and a fine of $500,000–20 years and $250,000 each count–if found guilty.
