Since becoming AEW World Tag Team Champions – Jurassic Express have been taking on the best AEW has to offer. Up next is Private Party, who are hoping to get their next big upset in AEW. The ace tag team of the AHFO have previously beaten the likes of The Young Bucks, and are proof that anything can happen in AEW – and showing that tonight would mean new champions.
Private Party Find Their Tag
With Matt Hardy & Blade in their corner, and The Ass Boys cheering them on from the crowd – Private Party had their posse for this match. The champions meanwhile just had Christian Cage, and the AEW World Tag Team Champions. Ass Boys would distract Jurassic Express, and Private Party attacked from behind to get a hot start.
Before Jungle Boy even got the title off his waist, he’d taken the Gin & Juice, but managed to kick out. Luchasaurus was still finding his feet, as Jungle Boy dodged the leg drop – frog splash combo. Jungle Boy got the tag, and everyone fled from Luchasaurus. Out of the view of the referee, Hardy got Luchasaurus in the back of the leg with a steel chair – taking out his vertical base.
Private Party would keep the attack on the leg, while keeping Jungle Boy off the apron. It’s rare that Luchasaurus gets isolated, but Private Party were doing a great job. Quen applied the single leg crab, and Kassidy floated over the top rope with the senton. The leg was targeted in the ropes, with even Matt Hardy getting some cheap shots in.
Jurassic Express Make The Comeback
Luchasaurus would finally be able to find an opening, but both men grabbed his legs and tried to stop the tag. They’d roll him away, but a double lariat turned both men inside out. Jungle Boy hit the ring with some fire inside, and sent them outside before some dives to the outside.
In the ring, Jungle Boy looked for the brainbuster, only to take a roundhouse kick to the head instead. Kassidy went to the top rope, and Quen tried to set up a Doomsday Device – before Luchasaurus instead put Jungle Boy on his shoulders. Countering the dive of Kassidy, Jungle Boy nailed a Spanish Fly. Quen would be able to avoid a huge slam, and helped take out Luchasaurus with the Silly String DDT.
Jungle Boy remained legal, and locked in the Snare Trap – but Quen hit the Shooting Star Press to break the hold. Gin & Juice was blocked into a destroyer, and Jurassic Express hit the Thurassic Express for the win. After the match, Gunn Club rushed Jurassic Express – staking their claim for the next shot.
