Finally, Brody King is here in AEW. He was teased for weeks by Malakai Black, and showed up in a big way. We don’t have to wait long for his debut in the ring either – as tonight alongside Malakai Black, they look to finish off The Varsity Blondes for good. It’s time to bow to the Kings of The Black Throne.
The Kings Of The Black Throne Tear Down The The Varsity Blondes
The entrance of Kings of The Black Throne was enough to make anyone shudder, and Garrison already felt their Dante’s Inferno finisher last week. King started with Garrison, but the tag team chemistry of the KOTBT saw some quick tags come and Garrison get picked apart. Pillman Jr. made the tag, but was too scared to go for the Air Pillman after the slip up in his singles match with Black.
King rushed outside and pounced Garrison into the steel steps. Now solo, Pillman was cut down by a flurry of strikes before a senton to the back by King. Garrison tried to make the save, before being tossed outside. Dante’s Inferno dropped Pillman, and The Kings of The Black Throne just destroyed the #4 ranked team with ease.
Black would grab the microphone, and wanted to start a sermon with the followers of the House of Black. We’d have PAC respond on the screen, and said that his vision being taken made everything clear. Black is the same as everyone, just power hungry. PAC knew that Blakc wanted him to join him, but PAC is not able to be corrupted – and will Black into a Martyr.
Roppongi Vice Set A Challenge For AEW Rampage
Roppongi Vice would take The Young Bucks promo time. Week after week, The Best Friends have been dropping match after match. Rocky Romero just got back from Japan, from the Tokyo Dome. In Japan, they’ve beaten The Young Bucks time after time, and they’d lay down a challenge for AEW Rampage.
For perhaps one night only, Roppongi Vice is back in the ring – and that will be one to not miss. These two teams last met in 2017 in Los Angeles, with The Young Bucks getting the win on that night – which also saw Kenny Omega become the first ever IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion.
Lance Archer Takes The Fight To Frankie Kazarian
Recently, Lance Archer all but jumped the line to get a shot at Hangman Page. He would rush the champion and hit a Blackout through a steel chair. A clear message, but one that has some ready to step up and take Archer down before he gets to Hangman Page. One such man is Frankie Kazarian, who has some of the most wins in all of AEW – and is looking to gain another tonight.
Lance Archer had both Jake Roberts & Dan Lambert in his corner for this match, and Kaz was rightfully a bit worried. Archer started with a big elbow strike, before turning his back on Kaz. Kaz would try to fight back before taking the short arm lariat, and get taken into the corner before a chop in the corner.
Even one of the best in AEW is having a hard time with the sheer violence of Archer, and it was just an overwhelming advantage. Kaz was sent outside, and Archer took some blows – before regaining control in the ring with the Pounce.
Archer missed a chokeslam, and Kaz was able to block the Blackout attempt with some elbow strikes – before setting up the springboard legdrop. Crossface Chickenwing was blocked before a massive chokeslam landed. Ripcord into the swinging side slam and Blackout got the win. After the match, Archer looked for more damage but Page made the save. He’d send Archer out of the ring, and showed zero fear.
