The death of Bob Saget was confirmed yesterday but his exact cause of death will remain a mystery, for now. Chief medical examiner Joshua Stephany was about to reveal some details surrounding the 65-year-old’s death.
The Immediate Details in the Death of Bob Saget
Stephany said that “At this time, there is no evidence of drug use of foul play” following an autopsy. This is just from the initial stages of the completed autopsy. To really get down to the cause of the comedian’s death, tests are required. The chief medical examiner told Yahoo Entertainment:
“The cause and manner of death are pending further studies and investigation which may take up to 10-12 weeks to complete. Our condolences go out to Mr. Saget’s loved ones during this difficult time.”
So, we now know that outside factors didn’t contribute to the death of Bob Saget. It was mentioned that while there was no evidence of drug use, the police did find medication in Saget’s room but that his medical history is unknown at the moment.
Police recollections state that Bob Saget checked into his room at the Orlando Ritz-Carlton at 2:17 AM EST on Sunday. He would send out the tweet about how his January 8th show at the Ponte Verde Concert Hall the night before. Florida would be the destination of the first leg of his I Don’t Do Negative Tour.
It was reported that his family called hotel security to check up on Saget and attempts were made to open the door to his room after check out. When security was finally able to enter the room. Upon checking to see if he was breathing, they found that he was “cold to the touch” and called 911.
Later that day at 4:18 PM EST, Bob Saget was declared deceased. Law enforcement was notified as was his wife, Kelly Rizzo of the grim news. Currently, condolences and tributes have been pouring in for the comedian by many who have been impacted by him in his lifetime.
