Last night was perhaps one of the biggest independent wrestling shows of all time. The WRLD on GCW 2022 was a memorable one, despite lacking fan reactions to the main event matches. From top to bottom, GCW put on a very strong card – only really struggling with time constraints stemming from the New York State Athletic Commission and the PPV format.
However, the NYSC also stepped in to prevent someone from competing, as they wouldn’t allow 16 year old wrestling prodigy Nick Wayne hit the ring. He missed out on making history last night, but has a bigger match coming later this year – thanks to Joey Janela.
Nick Wayne Wants To Wrestling Will Ospreay At Joey Janela Spring Break
With The WRLD on GCW behind us, GCW is now heading full steam to the wild world of Joey Janela’s Spring Break. These events are what really got a lot of eyes on GCW, as unexpected matches like WALTER vs. PCO draws in even the most sceptical fans. This year will have one match that should wow fans, and it was made for Nick Wayne.
Following not being able to wrestling on The WRLD on GCW – Joey Janela would offer to make it up to Wayne. Janela is pushing hard to make him the future of professional wrestling, and promised to set up a match with anyone he wants. Wayne would pick none other than The Commonwealth Kingpin – Will Ospreay.
Ospreay Is On Another Level In 2022
Ospreay recently main evented the Tokyo Dome on January 5th, and while he failed to beat Kazuchika Okada on that night – he gave another perfect performance for fans. Since then, Ospreay returned to the United States, where he recently defeated AEW star Brian Cage to retain the Warrior Wrestling championship.
Ospreay is expected to accept this offer – and will likely make Wayne look like an absolute star in the process. Very few other matches are in the planning phase for Spring Break, though fans hope that we finally get to see Orange Cassidy vs. Minoru Suzuki.
To get a taste of what 16 year old Nick Wayne is capable of – here is the full match with Joey Janela from Defy Wrestling.
