Pete Dunne is done, as far as Tony D’Angelo is concerned. He defeated him in a Crowbar on a Pole match, with a wicked Crowbar shot getting him the deciding fall. Tonight, he’s hear to hold a memorial service for Dunne. But are rumours of Pete Dunnes demise greatly exaggerated?
Bron Breakker Is Confronted By Santos Escobar
Before this, Breakker would be interviewed. He’d be asked about Santos Escobar – and he acknowledges he’s great. However, this interview would be crashed by Escobar. While he’s champion, he’s not ready to carry the brand on his shoulders. Escobar meanwhile is ready to take this brand to new heights, and Breakker will have to wait for his chance to get a hands on him.
Cameron Grimes Crashes The Memorial Service Of Pete Dunne
Petey Poppins was a great man, but listened to no one. So Tony D taught him a lesson the hard way. When you’re taking care of business, you need to be thorough. Because of this, tonight’s a closed casket affair – since no one wanted to see his face before having a crowbar smashed across it.
However, now D’Angelo is moving on. He’s beaten one of the most established champions in NXT history, and now he wants some gold around his waist. In particular, he wants that NXT North American Championship. Trick Williams & Carmelo Hayes showed up, and said they had a better memorial service last week for Roderick Strong.
Williams would ask why he’s going against them now, after they fought together in WarGames. However this is all business, and Hayes wants him to keep his business out of his mouth. Cameron Grimes would join the celebration, having already called his shot for the NXT North American Championship last week. D’Angelo would swing for Grimes, and the memorial picture of Dunne ended up around his head.
Ivy Nile Steals Her Biggest Win Of All Time
Since making her debut in NXT 2.0 – Ivy Nile has been taking out small fish one after another. Now, it’s time for a true test. She has the former NXT UK Women’s Champion, the forever champion – Kay Lee Ray. KLR has been spinning her wheels since coming to NXT, but shutting down the pace of Nile could really start to get her noticed for a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship.
Nile would lock up with KLR to start this match, but was sent off with an armdrag. KLR would follow up with some heavy chops and a running dropkick for a two count. Nile shot back with an enziguri, before applying a tight headscissor hold. KLR broke free and nailed a gourdbuster, before Nile hit a leg driven DDT for a two count.
However the superkick from KLR would drop Nile. Mandy Rose would come to ringside – and run a distraction. Rose was shoved off the apron, and Nile got the roll up win. Toxic Attraction would run down KLR, and she’d be saved by Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta.
Will Kay Lee Ray end the reign of Mandy Rose? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
