Fans have been speculating on who’s going to win the Royal Rumble, what guest appearances there’ll be, and how it’ll play into other storylines and some of them are pretty enticing ideas.
It’s what makes these events fun as we get to imagine who’s coming back and who’s not, but the WWE spoiled a lot of that this year by announcing a majority, if not all, of their match participants to lure fans in.
It speaks volumes to them knowing the fans need something more, so instead of fixing the product they bring in names.
It also points out how much they may need viewers by opening the Forbidden Door and teasing other companies’ wrestlers entering.
Putting Veer over
Out of all of these speculations, one that looks like it was meant as a joke picked up some steam, and it’s having Veer enter at number one and running the table, with his final elimination being Brock Lesnar.
While it could be a joke, it’d be a way for the WWE to put him over from being on Main Event and now stepping into the big stage.
It feels rushed and not the right time, considering reports claim the WWE has no plans for him, but a good showing in the match would go a long way to establishing him and light a fire under WWE Creative to come up with a storyline for him.
While those vignettes are cool, it’s coming to a point where it’s a skippable moment since he’s been coming to Raw for months now.
He’s obviously viewed as a future big star, otherwise we doubt they’d waste the time and money to put those packages together while he labors in mid card land.
The fun part about this rumor is how he’d face Brock Lesnar and eliminate him. But how does Brock Lesnar come into this? That’s the next part of the rumor.
Lashley defeats Lesnar
This is another fun speculation that Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley will have an awesomely amazing match we’ve all been waiting years to see, and Lashley will win it.
Whether it’s clean or not (and we think we speak for everyone in saying it’d better be a clean finish both ways), Lesnar will be incensed and enter the Royal Rumble to win it and face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
Granted, it’d make more sense for him to challenge Lashley after his loss since choosing Reigns would make him appear weak and afraid of Lashley, it does sound like something the WWE would do.
So, assuming Veer has a good showing and Lesnar eliminates him to face Reigns, Veer would then be in line to challenge Lashley.
There are plenty of different ways this could go, even if they sound outlandish. What’s your dream scenario for the Royal Rumble?
