Jade Cargill has been downright unstoppable since joining AEW, and has been improving by the week with every defence of her TBS Championship. She’s been working with Bryan Danielson backstage, and week by week it shows. Tonight, The Bunny would be the latest to step up to try and end this dominant reign – as after showing her hardcore side at New Years Bash, anything is possible for The Bunny in AEW.
Jade Cargill Moves To 28-0 In AEW – Asks Who’s Next?
Jade would send Bunny right to the ropes as this one started, and didn’t give the clean break. Bunny grabbed a handful of hair and put Jade in the corner, before taking a boot to the face. Jade would hit an elevated wrist lock, before slamming Bunny down. Signs of her training with Bryan Danielson in action as she applied a hammerlock with her legs.
Bunny broke free and took this fight to the outside, and hit a Russian Leg Sweep into the apron. Matt Hardy came to ringside to drive Mark Sterling away, helping AHFO member Bunny get the advantage with a dropkick in the ring. Cargill would catch Bunny with a Fallaway Slam, before the veteran Bunny once again took control.
Bunny failed to choke Jade out with the sleeper hold, before getting driven into the corner. Matt Hardy slid brass knuckles into the ring – but Sterling armed Jade with the TBS Championship – and she blocked the punch. Both outside forces were sent to the back, but Bunny nailed two superkicks and looked for Down The Rabbit Hole – only to fall to Jaded.
After the match, she’d ask who’s next – and Tay Conti came to the ramp to challenge Jade for Revolution. She isn’t next – and instead will be the one to stop her.
Bryan Danielson Takes Out Daniel Garcia – Accepts Match With Jon Moxley
Speaking of Danielson, he wants to forge the future of AEW alongside Jon Moxley, but won’t simply get his way. Moxley knows Danielson has a point, but needs to feel it from Danielson first – by shedding blood together in the ring. Danielson has not accepted this match yet, but tonight gets a chance to test one of his prospective students – the winner of PWG BoLA 2022 – Daniel Garcia.
Garcia would stare down Danielson to start this match, before being pushed towards the ropes. He’d trade European Uppercuts, and come up short. Chops would be the same story. Danielson would hit a double arm suplex and look for the armbar, and Garcia fought before ending up in the LeBell Lock.
Garcia got a leg lock on Danielson, but was unable to keep The American Dragon down before taking several kicks to the chest. He’d keep fighting and drop Danielson, before wrapping the knee around the steel post. Some heavy chops met Danielson, before Garica got a taste of the chops of Danielson – before two quick Dragon Screw leg whips.
Danielson would suplex Garcia to the floor, before hitting the diving knee strike to the head of Garcia. Back in the ring, Danielson would nail the Tiger Suplex and went right into Cattle Mutilation. He’d get back to his feet and look for the ankle lock, but Danielson would fight free. Danielson blocked the Dragon Screw, stomped the head of Garcia in- and got the win with the Triangle Sleeper.
After the match, he praised the violence of Garcia – before 2point0 attacked Danielson from behind. Moxley made the save, and sent Parker & Lee out. Danielson stared down Moxley, and accepted a match with Moxley for Revolution.
