Tyrese Gibson has continued to grieve following the passing of his mother, Priscilla Murray Gibson, from Covid-19 and Pneumonia.
Tyrese Gibson Felt He Could Have Prevented His Mother From Passing With Covid-‘If Only My Mother Lived With Me’
The actor was first informed with the news that his mother was not in the best possible condition while he was filming on set. She had been taken to emergency care, as doctors expressed doubts over whether she would be able to overcome this.
Although that was the case, Tyrese refused to accept the diagnosis and believed that his mother would be able to make a full recovery. So when the news of the passing occurred, it was understandably very difficult for him.
And looking back, he wondered whether things would have turned out differently if more precautions had been taken, that being, if his mother was living with him.
In a post to his fans on social media, he said: “If only my mother lived with me I believe covid wouldn’t have taken her away from me.” In reality, there is no way of knowing if this would have made anything better.
And by continuing to dwell on it, Tyrese is inadvertently making himself feel a lot worse given that he is not able to change things.
While it is always good to take precautions, in any health-related matter for that regard, the only thing he can do now is to make sure that he is in a good place. And his following comments confirmed as much: “I am in no position to tell you what to do or not do.
“I am just here to be transparent as I always am and to tell you to be safe out there and don’t let a news report or governmental update about mask or no mask dictate you living your ONE LIFE.”
The fans on social media came out in droves to express their sympathy for Tyrese. They felt he should not blame himself over what had happened, as it was simply outside of his control.
One person wrote: “My husband said the same thing after his Mom passed last year from Covid. Praying your strength.”
