LA Knight wants revenge for being embarrassed by Grayson Waller. He was recently put on a restraining order, but Waller would breach it himself when he cost Knight his recent match with Joe Gacy. Now hiding behind the hulking Sanga, Grayson Waller needs to hope his bodyguard gets the win tonight – otherwise he will need to face Knight himself very soon.
LA Knight Gets His Hands On Grayson Waller
Sanga was looking like an indian Brodie Lee as he hit the ring, truly one of the biggest tests of LA Knights career. During his past run in NXT as one half of Indus Sher, he seemed set to be one of the biggest tag team threats in NXT history alongside the perpetually coming Veer. He’d swing and miss Knight to start this fight, before being dropkicked into the corner.
One big strike from Sanga sent Knight to the outside, where he wanted to launch Knight into the ring post. Knight slipped off and sent Sanga face first into the post. In the ring, Knight wanted BFT – but Sanga threw him off with ease. A springboard dropkick took Sanga down for a two count, before Waller exposed a turnbuckle.
This distraction allowed Knight to poke the eye, before Sanga was run into the exposed steel and dropped with a neckbreaker for the finish. Waller would try to attack after the bell, but was dropped with BFT. Knight has just started with beating down Waller, but that’s all for tonight.
Dolph Ziggler Crashes The Championship Summit
Santos Escobar is going to be the first title defence of Bron Breakker in NXT 2.0. After a tag team loss last week for Legado Del Fantasma, Santos Escobar will confront Bron Breakker tonight as we have a Championship Summit. Escobar has made his thoughts on Breakker and his championship victory very clear. What will he and Breakker have to say now that the two are set to square off for the title at NXT Vengeance Day?
Escobar had all of Legado at this side tonight, while Breakker had the arena of fans behind him. First question went to Breakker, with it being what makes him so sure he’s gonna leave as champion. Simply, he’s gonna beat Escobar – and there’s nothing that can be done about it. Breakker wants to skip the talking, flip the table and get to fighting.
Escobar admires the youth and brashness of Breakker, but he needs to understand that Escobar pulls all the strings. He’s already planning the demise of Breakker before he even becomes a star. Suddenly, Dolph Ziggler showed – even confusing Escobar. Ziggler would start to rip into both men, and let everyone know that now he works Tuesdays too.
Tommaso Ciampa Joins The Party – Kicks Ziggler In The Face
Time is money and he doesn’t get paid by the hour – so he just wants to know who the hell Breakker is. Breakker would be looking past Escobar to Ziggler, but Ziggler isn’t even in the same category as him. His resume speaks for itself, but the NXT Championship is not on there. The crowd wants a triple threat, but another man hit the ring.
Tommaso Ciampa would make his way down, and now the crowd wanted a Fatal Four Way. Ciampa thinks Ziggler as NXT Championship would suck, and instead would look to call Ziggler out. Escobar tried to get everything back on track, wondering why Ziggler is even here. Once he becomes the NXT Champion, he’ll handle Ziggler & Ciampa in fast order.
Ciampa said that he’s next in line, unless Ziggler wants to prove he should get the next shot. However, Ziggler says that just fans in Florida like Ciampa, and that he can’t make it in the big leagues. Ciampa would kick off a brawl with Ziggler, as Legado Del Fantasma beat down Breakker in the ring. Breakker threw Wilde & Mendoza away, but the numbers edge still caught up to Breakker – who was slammed through a table.
