Since EC3 and Adam Scherr announced the launch of CYN (Control Your Narrative) promotion, fans have been wondering what their matches will entail and what rules will they go by.
Each company has their own sets of rules that fit their vision of their product from being more reality based to more showy to cinematic and everything in between.
It’s not a surprise CYN won’t have some moves that are dangerous or overdone, at least in our opinions.
EC3 shared an image listing the rules and guidelines on his Instagram.

Announcing the Rules
As we mentioned, EC3 released CYN’s rules, and here they are:
“Control Your Narrative
“RULES and REGULATIONS
“Sanctioned “Matches” will take place at all #CYN Live Events and will adhere to the standard #ProfessionalWrestling rule book.
“#CYN Live will be #officiated by a well trained and state certified team of “officials.”
- 1st rule: You are in control.
- 2nd rule: YOU ARE IN CONTROL!
- 3rd rule: Fights end when you tap out, get knocked out, can’t stand, or quit. Sanctioned “matches” can end via pin fall.
- 4th rule: Standard “professional wrestling” rules apply for sanctioned “matches.” Chaos ensues in the PROJECT PIT.
- 5th rule: No #Superkicks. No #TopeSuicidas. No #CanadianDestroyers.
- 6th rule: The fight isn’t with your opponent. It is with yourself.
- 7th rule: Fights will go on as long as they have too. Sanctioned “matches” HIT THEIR TIMES.
- 8th rule: If you want to #ControlYourNarrative, you have to fight.
“Fights within #TheNarrative? That is a different story.”
We like the shift in focus from the constant spot fests that have become the norm in most wrestling companies as it’ll help give the wrestlers another layer of safety as well as making it more realistic.
It’s a cool alternative that will hopefully breathe more life into the sport as the business. The more options we have to enjoy, the better it is for us and the wrestlers.
We’re looking forward to seeing more of what they have to offer as they’ve hinted at a mix of regular matches and cinematic matches. It’s early on in their run, but with the promise of a televised show coming, it should be a fun ride and we can’t wait.
