If you’ve not been keeping up with New Japan Pro Wrestling through March, it might be a shock to see Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa not only being placed against BULLET CLUB – but teaming with Hiroshi Tanahashi. Having been kicked out of BULLET CLUB, Guerrillas Of Destiny have been slowly gaining some allies, with Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi being the first. Tonight, they will once again take on Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens, El Phantasmo, Gedo & Taiji Ishimori – but have a good chance of finally getting the win.
Jado Nearly Gets His Revenge
With Tanahashi leading the charge, Guerrillas of Destiny finally had the support they needed against BULLET CLUB. A brawl would break out, with Six Or Nine signalling out El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori. Everyone would start to nail ELP with hip attacks, including Tama Tonga.
Taguchi would mount the corner and hope to have ELP delivered, before Bad Luck Fale instead punched him in the ass. Gedo would toss Taguchi into the barricade, while ELP & Ishimori would rake the back of Wato. Fale would stomp Wato out, before Owens applied a rear chinlock.
Wato would be able to get free with the leg lariat, and Loa would hit the ring. Big lariats would follow before a spinebuster, and Guerrillas of Destiny would hit a series of splashes in the corner. Bad Luck Fale was cut down with dropkicks and a slingblade, before Tanahashi hit some Dragon Screws.
Owens would hit the C-Trigger, but Master Wato stopped the Package Piledriver. Chaos ensued, before Gedo tried to throw some brass knuckle punches. Jado stopped him – but ended this match with a DQ in favour of BULLET CLUB.
Toru Yano Embarasses Taichi
Suzuki-Gun still has a chance to come out on top of the New Japan Cup, with Zack Sabre Jr. facing Shingo Takagi later tonight. However, on the undercard they have two undercard tag team matches – with Minoru Suzuki, Taichi, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru first taking on Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano & Togi Makabe.
Yano & Taichi are potentially on their way to a sumo wrestling match at Hyper Battle over the KOPW 2022 trophy. Suzuki & Ishii would start this match with the expected hard hitting action, trading forearm blows in the middle of the ring. Suzuki almost got the Gotch Style Piledriver, but Ishii was able to slip free.
Yoshinobu Kanemaru would get the tag, before Ishii was nearly choked out. Kanemaru would stomp Ishii out, before tagging in Taichi to nail some heavy kicks – and he’d apply some Greco Roman Throat Holds during his pinfalls. Suzuki made his way back in the ring and applied the heel hook, and Yano would end up in the hold himself.
Makabe would finally make the save, with Suzuki out of arms. Taichi would take some downward punches, before levelling Makabe with a swift enziguri. Yano got the tag, and was dropped with a hook kick from Taichi.
Kanemaru would hit the British Fall, before looking for Deep Impact. Yano would block, use the exposed corner – but Taichi tossed him down with a Sumo Wrestling toss. Kanemaru would spray the wrong with whiskey, before Yano rolled him up for the win. Taichi would be soaked with Whiskey, a sign of disrespect from Yano.
SHO Continues To Try And Force The Hand El Desperado
When even Suzuki-Gun are looking like the good guys in a match – you know that House of Torture are a bad bunch on the New Japan Roster. Tonight, DOUKI, El Desperado & TAKA Michinoku take on EVIL, SHO & Yujiro Takahashi. SHO is desperate for a title shot against El Desperado, and tonight could finally see him get that.
House of Torture would jump Suzuki-Gun to start this match, with Yujiro focusing on DOUKI. He’d trip DOUKI up and look for the low dropkick, before missing – but landing the hotshot. On the outside, EVIL would drive Taka into the timekeeper’s table, before he’d hit the ring and focus on DOUKI.
SHO would be the one to finally lose grasp on DOUKI after a flying forearm. El Desperado would hit a back suplex, before fighting off the cross armbreaker attempt. EVIL would look for the STO, before being dropped with a spear. Taka hit the ring, before nearly getting the pinfall off the knee strike. Just Face Lock was applied, but Dick Togo ran the distraction, and EVIL won with the STO.
