Wardlow was able to overcome The Butcher on AEW Dynamite, but MJF is not done trying to end his career. Up next is Lance Archer, someone who is always looking for a fight in AEW. Tonight as a warm up for AEW Dynamite, Archer will take on Serpentico – and unless a miracle is in the works, this should be a quick and tidy victory.
Lance Archer Tears Through Serpentico Without Breaking A Sweat
This one had a twenty minute time limit, and Serpentico started with a dive to the outside. Archer didn’t even flinch, before hitting a chokeslam on the apron. He’d chuck Serpentico across the ring, before setting up the Blackout. As fast as this one started, it was over.
However, he’d keep the beating coming after the bell, nailing a set of chokeslams – a chokeslam symphony if you will. If he can manhandle Wardlow like this – MJF will be getting his moneys worth with Archer on Dynamite.
Eddie Kingston & Daniel Garcia Start To Tear Into Each Other
Eddie Kingston has had issues with Daniel Garcia for a long time now, and joining up with Chris Jericho has not helped things. Tonight, with everyone banned from ringside – Red Death will once again match up with The Mad King. These are two of the heaviest hitters in wrestling today, and tonight’s match should be as stiff as ever.
Kingston would start this one fast with the rapid strikes, a flurry of open palm strikes – before some knife edge chops in the corner. Garcia was tripped up and had a knee grinded across his face. On the floor, Garcia was able to gain some control, before working over the arm of Kingston in the ring. He’d isolate the arm and hit a tough knee right to the ribs.
Garcia would be able to nail some punches to the face of Kingston, before Kingston turned things around and would bite the ear of Garcia. Kingston was taken to the outside, and driven face first into the steel of the ring post – before Garcia hit a chop to the neck. A running senton in the ring just got a one count, before both men would trade knee strikes to the midsection.
Kingston Knocks Garcias Block Off
They’d move to trading chops in the middle of the ring, with Garcia giving as good as he got from Kingston. Abdominal Stretch was applied to Kingston, before he’d try and counter into the Stretch Plum. Garcia countered and nailed a German Suplex. Some rapid stomps in the corner would follow, before Kingston would hit a back elbow – and the knee to the back to the neck.
Kingston would look for a DDT, before Garcia tripped him up and applied the Boston Crab. Garcia would move into the sharpshooter, but Kingston got the ropes… and forgot how to remove the hold, getting the referee to free Kingston.
Kingston would be able to land an enziguri and an exploder suplex, getting a near fall for his efforts. Garcia would have the uraken scouted, but after a backdrop driver, it would land with great force – and Kingston gets a big win tonight.
After the match, Kingston grabbed the microphone, and took his belt off. He’d tell Garcia to look into the camera – and said he’s saving this whipping for his boss. As hard as Garcia was hit tonight, Kingston has more ready for Jericho.
Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland Aren’t Done With Team Taz
Tony Schiavone would catch up with Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland. Both men have gelled as a tag team thanks to the efforts of Team Taz, and now united? They’re ready to take Team Taz down once and for all.
Taz would interfere and allow Powerhouse Hobbs to take Lee. Swerve said they won the battle, but the war is very far from being over. Ricky Starks would respond and say they will finish the job next time they clash.
