After going to a one hour draw with Bryan Danielson and proceeding to defeat him in the rematch – it’s time for the next step in the reign of Hangman Page. He asked for a fight, and Lance Archer answered the call. Not only will he have to defend against The Murderhawk Monster, but will defend in his first ever Texas Deathmatch. Only way to win is knockout or submission.

Hangman Page Was Ready For A Fight – Quickly Bloodies Lance Archer

This one started before it even hit the ring – with Page getting the upper hand on Archer. They battled onto the stage, where Archer tried for a chokeslam, but Page threw Archer through a pane of glass. Right down to the ring, Page would hit the Buckshot Lariat – and Archer was down for the ten count.

Archer would reach his feet by ten, only for Page to hit a dive to the outside. A second dive would be met with a trash can lid to the head. Dan Lambert came to the ring to unscrew a turnbuckle – perhaps taking away the top rope and The Buckshot Lariat. Archer would look for a chokeslam on the crowd, but Page landed on a barricade for a moonsault.

Back to the ring, the top rope was down and Archer hit a lariat to the back of the head. Archer nailed the Hellicoaster, and gouged Page with the turnbuckle hook – which is perfectly legal in this match. Looking to repeat his success against Jon Moxley, he’d set up two tables at ringside – before throwing some weapons into the ring.

Hangman Page Gets Creative To End This Wild Brawl

With those tables set up, Page would fight free of the Blackout, and nailed some forearm shots. Some running boots would stun Archer, but a bloody Hangman Page would not be able to send Archer off the apron. Jake Roberts would take advantage and hit a short arm clothesline, and almost a DDT but Archer stopped him.

Instead, Page was able to hit a DDT on Archer – to the dismay of Roberts. In the ring, Page swung for the fences with a kendo stick, before Archer nailed a big chokeslam onto a trash can. This was a potential knockout, but Archer was up at six. Archer would channel Abdullah The Butcher and stabbed Page with a fork, before hitting a cannonball senton off the apron.

A barbed wire chair was pulled out from under the ring, and Archer had murderous intent with it. However, he’d instead hit the Blackout onto the steel steps – and Page bounced off – and it was unclear if he’d get up. Archer didn’t wait and pulled him up, wanting a powerbomb onto the barbed wire.

Page grabbed some barbed wire and fought free for some forearm shots. The German Suplex landed, and Page used the referee top hit the Buckshot Lariat, and sent Archer off through the table – winning this match.
