Britney Spears has finally confirmed what we all knew was coming and she will be dropping a tell-all book. Yes, the “Toxic” singer is currently working on a memoir and as expected, she’ll be getting into all the nitty gritty details in a way that Instagram posts can’t fully explain.
Britney Spears Is Currently Working on a Tell-All Book
Confirmation came via a now-deleted Instagram post in which she said:
“I’m writing a book at the moment and it’s actually healing and therapeutic. It’s also hard bringing up past events in my life…I’ve never been able to express openly.”
While she hasn’t shied away from blasting her family following the end of the conservatorship, the specifics of why she has such hostility towards them could still be raw to her. It would also explain why she was resistant to opening up during mandatory therapy sessions while under the conservatorship.
There have been concerns about Spears’ lashing out at her family as well as some of her social media activity in general and she acknowledges how it could be seen by some observers. Even though the events have gotten a lot of coverage and her story continues to evolve with the singer also lashing out at her sister, she believes that it all seems pointless to most.
“I can only imagine that I do sound childish but I was extremely young when those events took place … and addressing it now, I’m sure it seems irrelevant to most.
The 40-year-old singer said that she would be taking the “intellectual approach” in putting it all on the table instead of being purely emotional while discussing it. Of course, her fiancé Sam Asghari said that he would be buying the first copy of the book once it is published.
There is no release scheduled for the book but publisher Simon & Schuster inked out a book deal with Britney Spears back in February. That deal was said to be worth around $15 million. Spears’ younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears released her own tell-all Things I Should Have Said on Tuesday, January 18. Britney would blast her sister for the book which went on to become a bestseller.
Given that Britney is pretty much the nucleus of everything in the Spears family from fame to fortune, what she has to say about how it all came to be and how it all turned out seems bestseller material off the bat.
