Even after Britney Spears‘ conservatorship was terminated months ago, court battles against her father, Jamie Spears, who served as her conservator for thirteen years are still ongoing. Britney’s lawyer recently accused Jamie of bullying his daughter and not being available to help his daughter’s case.

Brittany Spears’ attorney, Matthew Rosengart, filed a motion requesting that Jamie Spears be denied from having access to files obtained by a private investigator that Britney’s legal team hired. The Private investigator from Kroll firm was hired to dig into Mr. Spears management of his daughter’s conservatorship for thirteen years.

Rosengart, in his motion, stated that Mr. Spears subpoena was “extremely overboard, unduly burdensome and oppressive.” He also revealed that his client’s Father had failed to show up for his deposition on three different occasions making claims that he can not be deposed in Los Angeles because he stays in Kentwood.
“Mr. Spears can run, but he cannot hide from his deposition forever.” He said. Rosengart also added that he was willing to depose Mr. Spears in “any city or state, including Kentwood.”
In the documents submitted to the court, the attorney also stated that if Mr. Spears was a decent father, he would place the interests of his daughter above his own interests. “Such a father would show grace and decency and cease and desist from bullying and harassing his daughter… this is what a loving, protective father would do.”
As to why there are even legal issues in the first place. After the Pop star’s conservatorship was terminated in September 2021, there have been disagreements about payment of legal fees which Britney’s father claims should be paid by her, also Mr. Spears was accused of eavesdropping on her conversations by monitoring her phone and also planting a listening device in her bedroom.
Britney’s father has however denied every wrong doing he has been accused of, stating that handling his daughter’s finances and all other activities he embarked on are on the basis of protecting his daughter from those trying to take advantage of her.
