These allegations raise serious questions for the following reasons. First of all, there is the obvious question of why did Molly come out with this revelation now after having disclosed this before.
And now that she has, what is she hoping to achieve from this? One plausible reason could be to generate publicity for her book, which just so happens to include this encounter in detail.
This is particularly true since the alleged incident occurred in 1987 at the Plaza Hotel. Secondly, with Gary no longer alive having passed away in 2010, he is not here to defend himself.
Therefore, there will presumably be an automatic assumption that what Molly is saying is the full truth. The fans on social media were outraged.
And they did not hold back on exactly what they had to say about Gary’s conduct irrespective of the fact that he is no longer alive. One person wrote: “He was a monster!”
And looking back, the fans had every reason for being angry. It is claimed that Gary invited Molly to his room. And that is when things started to get out of hand.
In an interview on ‘The Howard Stern Show,’ she said: “He’s like tickling me a little and things like that. I was like, ‘Gary, stop!’ I was trying to be polite and stop…I was like, no, Gary, stop. So I pushed him off.”
Once it became clear that she was in danger, Molly decided to respond with force. She had managed to make her way to the bathroom after she kicked off his hand, which was on her leg.
Thereafter, the actress had apparently locked herself in the bathroom before sprinting out at the first opportunity. Molly certainly had a lot of courage to speak out about this when there was no obligation on her to do so.
