Music mogul Simon Cowell has revealed that he will be in charge of planning his wedding to fiancée Lauren Silverman.

The pair’s relationship has been highly controversial from the outset. The duo had met in 2004 during which Lauren was married to Simon’s friend Andrew Silverman.
Although Lauren and Andrew would go on to split up 10 years later, the very fact of the matter is that Simon had a hand in that in more ways than one.
Shortly after the divorce, Simon and Lauren came out as an item. But to make things worse, Simon admitted to having an affair which was then followed by the news of their son, Eric.
But after having gotten over that initial controversy, the pair could not be any happier. This was reflected in the wedding preparations that have been taken on by Simon, who has refused to hire a wedding planner, or hand over the responsibility to Lauren.
In an interview with The Sun, he said: “I am planning it all, otherwise I know what will happen — there will be 600 people and it’ll get out of control, like my 50th birthday party.
“No one knows when it’s going to be. That’ll be a surprise, even for Lauren.” This is hardly a surprise given Simon’s nature. He is renowned for putting on big and grand events, as shown by the plethora of TV shows he has managed to organise.
Some of these include the X factor, America’s Got Talent and American Idol. With that experience in place, Simon was not willing to hand over control to anyone else.
He added: “[I don’t want] all the arguments that happen [about] who you do invite and who you don’t invite” as it all…[It]just seems like too much hassle.”
