Nick Cannon apologized for some of the statements he made concerning the child he is expecting. He did this in an episode of his show—The Nick Cannon Show. “I actually would like to take a moment just to be honest and even take a moment to listen and reflect on what I was saying and what’s popping and apologize properly.” The father of 8 said. “I wish to always protect and respect the privacy of the mothers of all my children and you know me.”

On January 31st, Cannon had confirmed that he was expecting a child with model Bre Tiesi—only a few weeks after one of his children that he had with Alyssa Scott, Zen, passed away due to brain cancer. Nick admitted that he had failed to respect one of the mothers in his life’s privacy by confirming the pregnancy.

He explained that although he didn’t intend to spill the beans until it was clear that it was the right time; but before the time was right, pictures of the baby shower with Bre were all over the internet and he decided to confirm the pregnancy news.
“I misspoke and probably went too much into details… it felt like I was probably making some comparatives and I didn’t have to do that. I didn’t need to because those are two completely separate moments in my life and in life.”
Alyssa Scott, the mother of Nick’s son who passed away, spoke out after the “new baby announcement,” in her statement, she said she “would not judge.”
“It’s painful having my son be a par of conversations that aren’t in alignment with his light and legacy. It isn’t something I chose for him or myself.” She explained that she is at peace and would not judge anyone. Nick went ahead to say, “I am a responsible human being and I take full responsibility for everything. I must sincerely apologize to everyone involved for any extra pain or confusion that I may have caused.”
