Royal author, Christopher Joll has claimed that streaming giant, Neflix may ask Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to not show up to the platinum jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth. Mr. Joll maintains that Neflix could ask the Sussexes to take the unpopular step so they will not be part of Prince Andrew’s negative press.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Have A Big Decision To Make
According to recent sources from Buckingham Palace, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to embrace Queen Elizabeth’s offer to join the Buckingham Palace balcony at her Platinum Jubilee. The royal couple held a private meeting with the monarch last week in the UK.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Could Be Urged By Netflix To Skip Platinum Celebrations If Prince Andrew Attends, Expert Says
Speaking in a recent chat, Mr. Joll said, “They’ve entered into multimillion-dollar contracts with Netflix and Spotify amongst others. We know that there was a Netflix crew lurking in the precincts of Windsor Castle for the most recent meeting.
That creates several problems one of which is if the Queen is determined that Prince Andrew should be part of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations, his appearance at the memorial service on the arm of his mother would indicate that he is going to be part of it. Netflix will run a million miles or they will tell the Sussexes to run a million miles from being in the same shot with Prince Andrew.”
Many people are expecting Prince Andrew to show up for the platinum jubilee after he stole the limelight at Prince Philip’s memorial some weeks ago. The embattled prince ignited widespread criticism of the Queen when he escorted his mother into the royal-packed hall. Despite enduring intense public ridicule after he lost his military titles and honorary patronages, Prince Andrew has refused to back off from public functions.
In response to a question about ‘whether Andrew will show up for the platinum,’ royal analyst Joe Little said, “I think he will. Although the Queen is head of state, she is also head of the family as well and in that capacity all her children should be with her. It is a hard one to predict. It will depend on how the royal family react to some of the newspapers’ front pages today. Of course, they’re not known to react in the way that you think they might.”
