WWE NXT 2.0 Results: Mandy Rose Defeats Dakota Kai To Remain WWE NXT Women’s Champion (04/12)

Dakota Kai has a bone to pick with Toxic Attraction – and with Raquel Gonzalez being taken out, and their reign as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions coming to a quick end. Tonight, Kai takes aim at the NXT Women’s Championship once again – and is looking to end the reign of Mandy Rose once and for all. Earlier in the show, Toxic Attraction claimed that Kai will be an easy target for Rose, but they’d be wise to not underestimate one of the hardest strikers in all of WWE.

Dakota Kai Falls To The Numbers Games Of Toxic Attraction, Mandy Rose Retains

With the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions in the corner of Rose tonight, Toxic Attraction were once again draped in gold – but Kai is ready to spoil this gold rush once again. Kai would attack fast, but was dumped down with a scoop slam.

Rose was sent off to the apron, and quickly fell to the floor. Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin would try to protect Rose as Kai went to the top rope, but everyone was dropped with a crossbody. After a commercial break, Rose had regained control and had a tight waist lock applied.

Kai would slip free, before being tossed face first into the mat as she looked for a headscissor takedown. Snapmare into a rear chinlock would be applied – before Rose went back to the waistlock. Kai would break free and nail a hard kick to the face before a reverse DDT for a near fall.

Rose would shoot back with a spinebuster, with a high angle pin following – but Kai stayed in the fight. An inside cradle got the challenger a two count, before nailing the Kairopractor. Dolin & Jayne would run the distraction, and a running knee strike from Rose would spell the end of this match.

What Could Be Next For Kai Following Another Huge Defeat

Following this result, the future of Dakota Kai in NXT is now in question. Tonight was close, but was another big time loss for Kai. Her tag team partner Raquel Gonzalez has went to Smackdown Live, but Wendy Choo was here to support Kai in defeat.

Choo would help to embarrass Toxic Attraction, and maybe a third reign as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion is in the future of Kai. What do you see in the future of Dakota Kai in WWE? Is she better of moving to Monday Night RAW? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
