Next week, The Creed Brothers have a massive test in the form of former NXT Tag Team Champions Viking Raiders. Roderick Strong personally brought them back to NXT to give his proteges a major test. However tonight, Erik & Ivar are back in an NXT ring for the first time in 3 years, as they show they’re still unstoppable. Malik Blade & Edris Enofe have stepped up – but all the confidence in the world might not be able to save them.
Viking Raiders Have A 15-0 Record In NXT Tag Team Matches
Blade would start off fast, running right into Ivar… and failing to make him budge. Enofe grabbed the tag alongside Erik, and was able to hit a big dropkick to gain the advantage. Speed is their advantage tonight, and Enofe & Blade used it to cut Erik down for a one count.
Erik would nail a forearm smash to the face before both Viking Raiders beat Enofe down. Ivar hit a flurry of back elbow smashes in the corner, before Erik nearly got a knockout off a knee strike. Enofe somehow found the will to kick out and made the tag.
Blade would show some more speed with a sky high dropkick before a big lariat. He’d go for a crossbody and was caught by Ivar, before Enofe followed up with a crossbody to topple the giant for a two count. Ivar would crush Enofe and Blade on the way to a tag, before The Raid got the win.
Mandy Rose Overlooks The Skills Of Roxanne Perez
Last week, Roxanne Perez made her NXT 2.0 debut – and was able to defeat Jacy Jayne. Now, she’s got the attention of Toxic Attraction, who massively overlooked her last week – and Mandy Rose wants to send a message to his plucky rookie. Wendy Choo was able to help last week by tearing apart the ‘Toxic Lounge’, but tonight Perez is on her own.
Perez would grab a rear waist lock to start this match, with Rose grabbing the wrist as a counter before taking her to the mat. Rose would find Perez up on her shoulders quickly – before being taken down with a Victory Roll for a two count.
Perez would grab a set of near falls before biting the hand of Rose and ripping a nail off. Rose would be done playing around and threw Perez to the floor – only to have her finger smashed off the steel steps. Back in the ring, Perez grabbed a front chokehold, but Rose was able to break free with a charge into the corner.
Rose would hit a back body drop as Perez hit the ropes, before an attempted submission with a backbreaker. Some knees to the face got Perez free, before a slingshot backbreaker off the ropes. Rose took a moment to gloat, before Perez hit a Thesz Press.
Russian Leg Sweep and handspring moonsault got a near fall, but Code Rok-C was blocked. Rose nailed a jumping knee strike – and this one was over. Better luck next time Roxanne.
Joe Gacy Wants The NXT Championship
Joe Gacy has played his cards right – and was able to work his way into a title shot against Bron Breakker at NXT Spring Breakin’ next week. He kidnapped Rick Steiner, stole the Hall of Fame ring – and when Breakker got it back, he’d shove Breakker off an elevated platform. Tonight ahead of his title shot, he’s got more to say.
With Gacy on a journey to change the world – he’s come so far. Over the past six months, he’s been molding NXT like clay – building a more respectable and welcoming brand. He’s made great strides, but until he’s NXT Champion his message won’t make its way to the masses.
He will leave no choice to those who do not want to follow his ways next week when he becomes champion. Bron Breakker refuses to disclose his injuries following the fall from last week – as he would get stripped of his gold. The music of Rick Steiner would hit, and he’d confront Gacy in the ring.
Steiner confirmed his son is cleared to compete, but Gacy had his followers try and block the Hall of Famer in. Breakker rushed the ring and took everyone down to get to Gacy. He’d be dropped with a heavy lariat – and Gacy lifted the belt high.
