Despite the open-mindedness, and despite the freedom of speech that is claimed to be reigning on Spotify, more and more censorship is introduced and more and more episodes of Rogan’s podcast disappear.
Spotify will not let Joe Rogan go. That is a fact, and that is due to the popularity and the views and visits that the podcaster attracts to the platform. Losing him is like losing a golden chicken that lays golden eggs each time he drops a new episode of the podcast.
Additional 36 Episodes Of The Joe Rogan Experience Disappear – Spotify Says Due To Technical Issues
Back in February, the platform deletes 113 episodes from the podcast, and as Spotify officials claim, this is due to his own requirement. So, Joe Rogan went scrolling on his past podcasts and personally decides to delete certain 133 podcasts. Pretty unbelievable, some would say.
The handpick of 113 episodes that are deleted are ones where Joe features right-wing guests. Guests such as Alec Jones, Milo Yianopolous, and many more.
However, now, after quite some time, the erasing tool strikes once again and additional 36 episodes vanish from the platform.
A representative of the company gives an official statement on the matter and says: “Spotify is aware of this technical issue, and we are looking into it now.” – A short but clear message for Rogan to take.
Being previously on YouTube, the podcaster ends up signing with Spotify back in May 2020. Joe Rogan is promised a no-censorship policy and additionally a great pay. From what rumors say, a pay of somewhere around $200 million to be more exact.
The additional 36 episodes that disappear from the platform are episodes that take place before his transition to Spotify.
Earlier in May this year, for the first time in a while, Rogan receives a great deal of mocking from the public. The mocking and joking is a result of a discussion he tries to start on the podcast. A discussion that appears to be totally basing on a fake news story.
“I read something briefly and I didn’t get into the article. It is something about the Australian government trying to pass a bill that would outlaw you growing your own food.” – the podcaster says.
Full of excitement, Rogan rushes to present the incredible news to his co-host and his guest.
Before he finds the article on the internet, he starts mocking the Australian government as a bunch of fuc*ing creeps. Joe is exclaiming about how can they do such things, and tries to google it. As he says it and looks for the article on the internet, he realizes that it is fake. Jamie is looking for it, but cannot find anything either.
So finally the podcaster gives up and accepts the fact. “Yep, I can’t find it either. Dammit! Better not be fake. It might be fake.”
Should Spotify delete controversial podcasts from the podcaster? Is this causing any good?
