The actress revealed that the incident happened when she was filming when the news that Trump became President broke.
This was hard for Andie to stomach, as she could not believe that the United States had elected someone whose treatment of women had been called into question.
At the time, a recording was leaked which had allegedly shown Mr Trump speaking about the power over women he had by virtue of being famous.
In the comments, he is alleged to have said the following: “They let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy.” So when Trump came into office, Andie became overwhelmed.
In her statement, she said: “I had this kind of crazy experience, right after Trump got elected. I was really disturbed that nobody seemed to care about the vagina[-grabbing] comment.
“I had gotten really sad. I went to do a job, a day’s work, and I had my very first panic attack.” But it was not just Trump that had made Andie feel uneasy.
She expanded on how the panic attack happened while she was in the presence of a room full of men. While there is nothing to suggest that anything untoward had happened, things became too much for her.
She added: “I was getting ready to shoot something, and I turn around and it’s, like, a room full of men. Like, a sea of men. It flashed on something that was personal for me. And I dropped to my knees.”
The fans on social media were very hostile towards Andie. People felt that her comments were bizarre and in fact suggestive of some wider issues.
One person wrote: “That’s a pretty long winded way for her to point out she needs intensive, in-patient psychiatric treatment.”
