Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has claimed that Princess Anne and Kate Middelton, Duchess of Cambridge, possess “different approaches” to royal functions. The two high-ranking members of the royal family embarked on a royal function together some time this week.

The royal commentator termed the linkup “very interesting“ and explained the way Anne undertakes several royal tours. He maintained that she completes more tours than Kate, but with less publicity. Mr. Fitzwilliams also said that though Kate handles fewer patronages, she has a lot more going on in them.
Mr. Fitzwilliams said, “It’s very interesting because they have different approaches. The Princess Royal does vast numbers of engagements. Catherine fewer but she concentrates, this is what the Cambridges seem to be doing, not quite so many patronages but doing more for the ones they take on.”
He went on, “Also Catherine is so high profile, the world’s most glamorous royal couple, she and William. Whereas Princess Anne prefers a low profile and does a tremendous amount of hard work. Both of them have totally different styles. Obviously Catherine’s a future queen, Anne has her own niche and has done brilliantly.
And also both of them are extremely popular. Anne has shown an understanding of the difficulties for royals in an age of scrutiny, even more than there was when she was younger. Catherine is in the media spotlight now, Anne used to be.“
Earlier this week, Princess Anne and Duchess Kate made a stop at the headquarters of the medical groups operating in maternal healthcare. Anne and Kate are the patrons of the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), respectively.
During the official visit, Princess Anne was fully involved in a chat with healthcare experts. She asked several questions and offered her expertise in the midwifery sector. Towards the end of the visit, Princess Anne and Kate launched a plaque in commemoration of the opening of the complex.
