Bad News For The Sussexes As Netflix Cancels Meghan Markle’s Cartoon Show
While only a few details have been released about the children cartoon series, many believe that the show had a little about Meghan’s childhood based on the fact that Meghan’s name somewhat means Pearl. Moreover, many of Meghan’s projects have been inspired by her life, an example is her released children’s book—The Bench.
Netflix Optimistic About The Upcoming Invictus Game
Archewell Productions was established in 2020 by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex—Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The purpose of the production company is to create series, documentaries and features. Although the Sussexes have not produced any content with the streaming platform, even with a $100 million deal, it is said that Netflix is optimistic that the upcoming series about the latest Invictus Games would do well.
Asides cancelling shows, Netflix has also begun to fire staff; this is after the streaming company didn’t meet up with its subscriber target and also lost 50% of its shares in a month.
Although the exact number of staff that have been fired by Netflix is not known, a number of them took to twitter to express their grievances, they also stated that they had only been hired months earlier. To bounce back from this, it is said that the Company is considering reducing subscription fees and supporting this by allowing ads on the platform.
