Ren Narita will clash with Karl Fredericks as Capital Collision kicks off. Narita and Fredericks have been tied together ever since the 2019 Young Lion Cup, a tournament that Fredericks won despite Narita defeating the Alpha Wolf himself in league competition. Following that, Narita asked to train under Katsuyori Shibata – and had the honour of being the first man to wrestle Shibata in a match at Wrestle Kingdom, but the winner tonight could be viewed as the best student of Shibata. Neither men are long for being stuck in the opening match on the card for long – as both are ready to break out as main event names.

Karl Fredericks & Ren Narita Show The Purest Form Of NJPW Action

Fredericks would drive Narita to the ropes, before allowing a clean break. Narita would get the better of the second lock up, but allowed a clean break on the ropes. They’d trade shoulder tackles, before an exchange of forearms in the ring. It’d quickly turn into chops – with both men glad to take the hardest strikes from their opponent.

Fredericks was forced down to a knee, but exploded up to his feet with a dropkick. A set of scoop slams would keep Narita down for a big stomp, before a snapmare into an elbow to the spine. Narita fired up and showed Fredericks how that move felt, before taking a mid kick across the chest.

Fredericks would run right into a belly to belly suplex, before Narita followed up with a brainbuster – but couldn’t get more than two. He’d look for the Narita Special III submission, but Fredericks was able to block into a roll up. A spin kick would put Narita back on the mat, before Fredericks would set up that stalling basement dropkick – a move Narita took from Shibata at Wrestle Kingdom, but he’d have it well scouted.

QT Marshall & The Factory Show Up In NJPW After A Win At Windy City Riot

Narita looked for a suplex down to the floor, before being hung on the top rope for a springboard double stomp to the spine. A T-Bone Suplex with a bridge would allow for Narita to lock in that Narita Lock III. He’d isolate Fredericks almost in the middle of the ring, but a burst of energy from The Alpha Wolf would allow him to escape.

Manifest Destiny would be blocked, before Narita lit Fredericks up with strikes before locking in the Cobra Twist. Fredericks fought free, and planted Narita with the DDT for the victory. After the bell, QT Marshall & The Factory would invade NJPW.

He’d attack Fredericks from behind, with Aaron Solow & Nick Comoroto holding him in place. Fredericks turned down an offer to join The Factory, and Fredericks would pay tonight – as QT Marshall knocked him out with a watch wrapped fist.

Team Filthy Looks To Show They Run NJPW

Team Filthy in ten man tag team warfare has become a key part of any NJPW US PPV – and tonight’s no exception. They will face the team of Fred Rosser, David Finlay, DKC, Yuya Uemura, and a new addition of Tanga Loa. Rosser is looking to claim Tom Lawlors STRONG Openweight Championship – and tonight could be a key step towards that match.

Uemura & Isaacs would start up this match, with Uemura able to take Isaacs down with a deep arm drag. Rosser would get the tag and run down Isaacs with a lariat, but not before running down Lawlor on the floor. Finlay would enter the ring, but would be beat speed wise against Danny Limelight – but was able to get the big slam.

JR Kratos would help to ebgat Finlay down, before Isaacs tried to take control of the match. Tanga Loa would hit a massive slam to Limelight, before Nelson & Isaacs nailed some heavy blows. Tom Lawlor would apply the front facelock on Loa, who was ultimately able to counter out and slam Lawlor down.

Fred Rosser would get the tag, and brought the fight to his rival – before tagging DKC. He’d be met by Limelight, who he was able to easily chop down to size. Loa & Kratos would take the middle of the ring, and traded forearm blows. Kratos nailed a big back suplex, before Finlay & Uemura hit a double suplex on the big man.

West Coast Wrecking Crew would dump Uemura out of the ring, only for DKC to nail a split leg dropkick. He’d be choked out by Tom Lawlor, and the lights would go out – only for Rosser to lock in the Crossface Chickenwing. Limelight and DKC were legal, and Limelight hit the Symbiote DDT for the win.

Can Fred Rosser claim the STRONG Openweight Championship? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
