TV presenter Loni Love has claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not request to be on the balcony with other royals. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are poised to attend the platinum anniversary festivities of Queen Elizabeth, scheduled for June 2022.
It is understood that the royal couple and their children have been left out of the Trooping the Colour balcony appearance by the Monarch. However, the TV presenter claims that the Queen had ulterior reasons behind her decision to keep the Sussexes away from the balcony.
Loni Love Said Prince Andrew Is The Main Target
In a recent chat with Daily Pop on E! News, Loni Love said, “First of all, Meghan and Harry asked to come to the Jubilee. They didn’t ask to be on the balcony so, I think that’s the thing. I think this is more about Prince Andrew and making sure he’s not on it than Harry and Meghan.
They just added Harry and Meghan so it wouldn’t look they snubbed Andrew. The thing that Harry and Meghan reportedly want to do is make sure that their grandchildren meet the Queen.” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle disclosed on Friday, May 6, 2022, that they were “excited and honoured” to be present at the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Queen’s reign.
The festival, which is scheduled for June 2022, will feature several events. But the queen has decided that only active royals can go on the balcony during Trooping the Colour which means that the Sussexes cannot be part of it. For now, no one can discern which of the four-day Jubilee events that the Sussexes will be part of.
Their return to the UK will be the first time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will set foot in the UK with their family since ditching their royal roles for a private life in the US. Their second child, Lili, who will mark her first birthday on the Jubilee weekend, up till now has not met the Monarch and other royals.7
