Reports emerge from everywhere that claim the battle of the billionaires is on the rise in the last period. The billionaires in question are high in rank on the fortune size lists.
In the first corner, we have the leading figure, the wealthiest person in the world, the most famous and controversial billionaire, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk.
The Battle Of Billionaires Is Started – Bill Gates Funds Attacks On Elon Musk – Elon Accuses Him Of Bio-Programming The COVID 19 Vaccines
In the second corner, we have the 4th ranked wealthiest person in the world, the Cofounder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates.
The ‘fight’ between the two is starting with the Breitbart News report. The report states that the latter, Gates, spent millions of dollars from his foundation on many of the organizations that openly sign letters for a boycott of Twitter. 26 companies in total signed the letter. All of them advising Twitter advertisers to boycott the company and stop their ads if the new owner takes over.
Foundation for Freedom online is an organization that protects digital liberties and fights for minimizing online censorship. Their goal is to win back the golden age of the Internet.
According to their research and analysis, many of the multi-million dollar contributions for the 26 companies that start the movement come from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. “In total, 11 of the 26 anti-Musk organizations received funding from a Gates-backed entity.” – they claim.
Elon takes a look at this research and retweets it with the caption – “What a dick move!” Many replies emerge on the tweet siding with both Elon and Bill.
“I think Bill Gates might just be the problem with our world.” – one user says. “A reminder. Every time you see Musk go after Gates and wonder why? Bill Gates has been #1 World’s Richest Man 16 times since 1987 – Elon 1 time. And might not even stay richest for one year’s length. The way Tesla is going. Maybe Bill was right for hodling his short?” – another one tweets.
“I love the idea of colonizing other planets, don’t get me wrong… but there are so many unknown variables. I volunteer Bill Gates to be the first person we send to Mars.” – an interesting comment says.
“You think that’s bad, wait until you find out what he put in your vaccine.” This is one of Musk’s comment replies on the tweet.
Back to the analysis that the Foundation for Freedom Online conducted. They claim that they can track more than 100 cash grants to the Bill Foundation, totaling a number of $457 million. This is a considerable amount of money that can change many things. Including paying reports, spreading misinformation, or advocating a certain position to the wider public.
People that have connections, or directly work for George Soros, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama sent an anti-Elon letter that should supposedly stop Elon from buying the social media. This happens as soon as Musk tweets a CNN article with caption “Who funds these organizations that want to control your access to information? Let’s investigate…”. The article is named “Brands should force Twitter to uphold content policies under Musk, advocacy groups say”. Do you think that this is a coincidence? Or do these people indeed have something to do with funding these organizations?
The letter that is sent to advertisers on Twitter, is openly attacking Elon on completely no-basing allegations that he will somehow ‘destroy’ the information ecosystem.
“Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter will further toxify our information ecosystem. It will be a direct threat to public safety, especially among those already most vulnerable and marginalized. Under Musk’s management, Twitter risks becoming a cesspool of misinformation, with your brand attached. Polluting our information ecosystem in a time where trust in institutions and news media is already at an all-time low.” – this is just a part of the message sent to advertisers.
This finding, together with the names of the people behind the alleging funding is put to light firstly by the Daily Mail. As it comes as no surprise, the names that we mention in the above text show up amongst them as well.
The Tesla CEO in the meantime puts the Twitter contract on hold since the number of fake accounts they claim is not real. From Twitter they fail to present the official study done to prove this claim, so for now, we can safely assume that it is far from the actual reality.
“Twitter deal temporarily on hold pending details supporting calculation that spam/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of users.” Elon tweets and continues to write another almost immediately stating – “Still committed to acquisition.”
Even though this is a legitimate issue that Elon points out, it is unusual why it would represent such a serious problem. A problem over which the deal for buying the company would collapse. Moreover, Elon’s contradictory tweets fuel the confusion even more. Is he interested to buy the social media, or not?
This is not the first time that Bill Gates and Elon Musk are having a battle. Previously Bill Gates did face accusations that he might be behind the ‘fall on stock’ of the Tesla company. Elon even shares a photo then, pointing at him as the main reason for the ‘stock’ fall. As a response, Bill tweets that he doesn’t care about it and it doesn’t bother him at all.
Bill also shows his hesitant thought when speaking about Elon’s taking over Twitter. He says that the only thing that the fellow billionaire can accomplish with Twitter is to make it a ‘worse’ platform than it currently is.
Is he right or wrong? We will see in the months to follow.
