It has been revealed that ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ reality star Todd Chrisley once engaged in a gay extramarital affair with his business partner…and it was him who would eventually turn Todd and his wife Julie in to the feds for a series of financial crimes.
Todd and Julie Chrisley are currently on trial for bank fraud and evading $2 million in tax fraud. In his bombshell testimony, Chrisley’s former business partner Mark Baddock claimed that he and Todd engaged in an ‘intimate’ relationship in the early 2000’s. Their bond became so close that Baddock even helped Chrisley commit fraud on several occasions.

Their personal and professional relationship went kaput when Chrisley threatened to call the police on Baddock in 2012. Todd Chrisley has been married to Julie Chrisley for 26 years and they share five children together. Baddock, who was also married to a woman at the time of the alleged affair, turned the Chrisley’s in to the FBI for tax fraud and was granted immunity for his cooperation in the trial.
The scorned lover was spilling all of Chrisley’s secrets during his testimony and alleged that an anonymous blackmailer once sent Todd texts demanding to ‘Pay cash and we’ll shut up”. It was then that they paid this mysterious person $38,000 in cash divided up into four separate installments. Baddock then claimed that he helped Chrisley create fake tax documents and gave them to banks while he impersonated Todd via phone and email.
Baddock then admitted to using fake email accounts to expose Chrisley’s illegal activities to the government as well as the media. He insists that Chrisley is the only man he has ever been romantically involved with.
Todd and his wife are accused of submitting fake financial documents to banks to obtain hefty loans. Julie Chrisley is accused of submitting a forged credit report and bank statements. The couple have also been accused of funneling their money through a film production company in order to hide earnings from the IRS. Todd evaded paying $2 million in taxes to the federal government.
According to the court filing, Todd and Julie Chrisley are being charged with “one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, five counts of bank fraud, one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States and one count of tax fraud.” Julie Chrisley is additionally being charged with “one count of wire fraud and one count of obstruction of justice.”
Chrisley and co also “conspired to submit false materials, such as fabricated bank statements and false personal financial statements, to financial institutions to obtain millions of dollars in loans, much of which they used for their own personal benefit”.
