Amber Heard may have wanted to end Johnny Depp’s career when she falsely accused him of domestic abuse, but the only one steadily losing work is Amber herself. The actress has been reportedly cut from ‘Aquaman 2’ just hours after her explosive interview with Savannah Guthrie has surfaced. In the interview, Amber not only refuses to take any accountability for being found guilty of defamation, she also brands Johnny Depp a ‘liar’ and doubles down on her slanderous claims that he repeatedly abused her throughout their relationship.
The defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard peaked interest from all over the world, with Depp gaining more support as the courtroom battle raged on. The jury ruled that Heard did defame Johnny Depp during a 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post where she labeled herself a survivor of domestic abuse. Although she was ordered to pay Depp $8.35 million in damages, her attorney claimed that she is financially unable to pay. Now, Amber Heard is gunning for Johnny Depp even harder than before, staunchly standing by her claims that he is an ‘abuser’.
Amber Heard CUT From ‘Aquaman 2’ Hours After Doubling Down On Johnny Depp Abuse Claims In New Interview
But the backlash from Amber’s recent interview has been furious, and a source has claimed that Heard has been completely cut out of the upcoming ‘Aquaman’ film, despite having finished filming and already getting her $2 million paycheck for her role as Mera. Heard appeared in the first ‘Aquaman’ film in 2018 alongside Jason Mamoa, but she has seemingly been dropped from the film after Warner Bros. did several screen tests and audiences were less than receptive to seeing her on the big screen. According to a source, the studio is willing to take on a massive expense in order to reshoot Heard’s scenes with a different actress in her place. “Warner Bros. decided to recast Amber Heard’s role after screentesting the movie. They are going to be doing reshoots with [her former co-stars] Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman”, the source revealed.
While Warner Bros. has yet to respond to talk of Amber Heard’s exit from the film, her spokesperson was quick to dismiss the discussion, saying, “The rumor mill continues as it has from day one – inaccurate, insensitive, and slightly insane.” But since Amber Heard has already fulfilled her contractual obligations to the film, she does not have any input as to whether or not she will remain in the role of Mera – that’s entirely up to Warner Bros. Their decision may be an easy one, as Amber Heard continues to do herself a disservice by continuing to make false allegations against her ex-husband. On top of that, there has been a petition to remove Amber Heard from ‘Aquaman 2’ that has steadily been gaining momentum since the defamation trial started. Currently, the petition has over four million signatures…and that number continues to climb by the day.
