Christian Bale has sent fans into a frenzy after he admitted that he is open to the possibility of playing Batman once again.

Bale is arguably one of the most popular actors to have played the superhero after having had mesmeric performances in ‘Batman Begins,’ ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’
But with the storyline having wrapped up in Bale’s last instalment, his comments appeared to have come out of the blue. After all, Robert Pattinson has now taken over the Batman franchise, while Bale has been out of action in the role for around a decade.
And yet, he would be open to it on the condition that Christopher Nolan (the director he had worked with on the movies) offered him something he could not refuse.
In his comments, Bale said: “In my mind, it would be something if Chris Nolan ever said to himself, ‘You know what, I’ve got another story to tell.’ And if he wished to tell that story with me, I’d be in.”
This begs the question: has there been any approach towards Bale for making this happen? As of now, nothing seems to have been done in that regard.
This is entirely understandable since the focus has been on Robert Pattinson’s Batman, which raises the obvious question of how would a Bale return coincide with that.
In addition, there is the obvious question of whether Nolan would want to take charge of the project once again. With that being said, Bale admitted that no one has made an approach.
He stated: “Occasionally people say to me, ‘Oh, I hear you were approached and offered all this.’ And I’m like, ‘That’s news to me. No one’s ever said that.'”
The fans on social media went into a frenzy. A significant proportion of fans were desperate to see Bale make a return. One person wrote: “YesYesYesYesYesYes!!!!!!!!!!!”
