The alleged murderer of late rapper Nipsey Hussle was jumped by his fellow inmate while on his way to court on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Eric Holder was in line for the bus to his for his murder trial when he was ambushed.

The attack was to the point that someone used a razor to cut Holder. He would require stitches to close his wounds. TMZ reported that the alleged killer had stitches that ran up the back of his head and additional stitches through his head. He also had a swollen eye from the assault.
In speaking with reporters, Holder’s lawyer Aaron Jansen said his client “was obviously in some pain yesterday. He’s OK to go forward.”
It was noted that the trial went on without acknowledging attack on Eric Holder. Los Angeles County Deputy DA John McKinney opened the trial by recollecting Holder’s words and actions on March 19, 2019:
“He shot from left and right hand, retreated, shot some more, retreated and went back in and shot even more. The only thing he said while looking at Nipsey…‘You are through!’”
Nipsey Hussle was 33-years-old at the time of his death and was known not only for his music but his activism within the Crenshaw area of Los Angeles. The prosecution would wrap up its case on June 29, 2022.
