Monica Lewinsky has given her take on Johnny Depp’s defamation trial with Amber Heard.

The trial came to a conclusion with Depp coming out victorious in a case that was characterised by both side’s reputation being damaged.
But it was Heard in particular that came out second best in the court of public opinion after her conduct in the trial left many people taken aback.
One particular incident was when Heard was seen pretending to take notes on her notepad, without actually writing anything down. This was inadvertently seen by a member of her legal team, whose expression was far from satisfactory to say the least.
With that being said, Monica admitted to being caught up in the whole soap opera. In her comments, she said: “[It was] “courtroom porn [and a] pure car wreck.
“We are drenched in the taint of the dirt and aggression of the social media wars.” Monica is no stranger when it comes to being involved in the public limelight.
She was infamously implicated in the notorious impeachment scandal surrounding former US President Bill Clinton after she had been involved in an affair with him.
So much so that she was alleged to have given the President fellatio, despite Clinton infamously stating: “I want you to listen to me. I’m going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”
It was not surprising, then, that the fans on social media did not have a lot of time for Monica. And rather than focusing on what she had said about the trial, people began to make personal remarks about her.
One person wrote: “I guess this trial was too much for her to swallow,” while another person stated: “Someone tell her to sit down.”
