A viral clip shows an orangutan trying to turn a whole human being into a Duplo block by grabbing him and pulling him through the cage. The video was shot Kasang Kulim Zoo in Indonesia on June 6, 2022, and features an orangutan named Tina grabbing a man—identified as Hasan Arifin—by the shirt. Her grip is powerful enough that not only can he not be pulled free, but he’s also pulled in closer and ends up having his leg and thigh trapped by the orangutan.

With that said, that shirt is made out of some stern stuff. I mean, looking at the video, she’s like an octopus. She is all over this guy and he’s just…not escaping on his own. Apparently, Hasan did the boneheaded move of climbing the barrier that tends to separate visitors from caged animals. He was in an area between the barrier and the actual cage which probably wasn’t even enough room to back away if he tried.
From accounts, he was warned not to climb the barrier but Hasan was feeling sturdy and did so anyway. According Desrizal, manager of the zoo:
“What happened on Monday afternoon, the visitor jumped into the guardrail of the orangutan cage to take a video without the officer’s permission. The visitor has violated the rules by jumping over the guardrail and kicking the orangutan.”
While his leg was trapped by Tina the Limb Collector, he had to turn his whole body to keep his leg in one piece! It’s like she figured “Oh, he doesn’t want to come in the cage? I’ll just break his sh**, I guess.” In the end, Arifin manages to get loose and is still in one piece. He would apologize for the situation afterward:
“I apologise to the Kasang Kulim Zoo for crossing the fence and I apologise for the viral video.”
