On Thursday, June 2, 58-year-old Actor, Johnny Depp was seen outside for the first time since it was announced that he won the case against his ex-wife, Amber Heard. The trial between the ex-lovers began when Depp accused Amber Heard of defaming him in 2018 when she made it public that her ex-husband used to abuse her. According to Depp, Amber’s statement made him lose a number of sponsorships and support and so he decided to reveal “the truth” hence the trial.

The trial that began April 11, 2022 lasted until June 1 when the Jury eventually reached a verdict, revealing that the Actor won his case. Depp was then awarded $15 million in damages while Heard was awarded $2million as it was decided that in her countersuit, she won one of her defamation counts. Just some hours after the win, Depp was seen in the UK leaving a hotel in Newcastle.

He was dressed in a black blazer and dark sunglasses with his hair down. He was photographed smiling and waving at cameras and his fans. Many fans of the actor all over the world are happy that he won his case, and they agree with Depp as he said that, “the jury gave me my life back.”

Speaking about his victory, Depp explained to the public that his life, his children’s and the lives of those close to him were forever changed based on the “false, very serious and criminal allegations” levied against him. He also added that his goal for deciding to pursue the case, despite all that it came with, was for the truth to be revealed.

Speaking the truth was something that l owed to my children and all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me,” he said. The actor also hoped that his “quest to have the truth be told will have helped others, men and women” that are in the same situation as he was. The actor ended his statement thanking the judge, jurors and his legal team for shinning light on the truth.
