Johnny Depp recently sold an NFT for an amount close to $800 000. He decides to donate the money to four charities across the US, including Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. This hospital allegedly has some sort of a connection to Amber Heard.
Johnny Depp has an NFT platform, called ‘Never Fear Truth’. Symbolically using first capital letters making the word NFT (non-fungible token). Last Wednesday, the 6th of July, Depp’s platform raised about $800 000 in donations by selling artwork and NFTs that were in the actor’s ownership. After acquiring the money, they split the donations between four charities.

According to unofficial sources, the first charity goes to Australia, to the “Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation”, and the second to “Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity”. The third donation goes to The Footprint Coalition, and the last and not least to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. All of these donations are of the same amount. That means each of the mentioned institutions will receive $200 000.
The last one of the four, the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles has a ‘history’ with Depp’s ‘famous’ ex-wife Amber Heard. A history of unsuccessful transfer of promised funds.
From what we’ve seen until now, Amber Heard is not so prone to donating money. Back in 2016 when she divorced Johnny Depp, she pledged that she will donate all ‘divorce money’ she took from Depp to charities. However, that never happened. And it was a considerable amount. It stood somewhere close to $7 million. She kept it for herself and most probably spent it all. Furthermore, now, after 6 years since the divorce, she claims she doesn’t have money to pay her debt to Johnny Depp.
In 2016 Amber Heard stated that she will divide the $7 million into two charities. One of which is the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. But according to sources presented during the trial, this never happened. During the cross-examinations, it was revealed that she was unable to do the donation due to other expenses she was undergoing at the moment.
Now when Johnny Depp made the donation that his ex-wife didn’t he is praised for his kindness.
