Karrion Kross Believes He Was Set To Be In WWE For Life

Few runs in WWE stand out more for their missed potential than Karrion Kross. Signed to WWE in 2020, he’d quickly make a splash in their NXT brand – where he won the NXT Championship twice. Cracks would begin to show when he was moved to the Monday Night RAW brand – and had everything that made his character work in NXT stripped away, including his manager Scarlett Bordeaux. Despite all this, Kross had originally hoped to be in WWE for life.

Karrion Kross Has Nothing Bad To Say About WWE

While speaking to Kevin Kellam of Sportskeeda, Kross would have a chance to discuss how he felt in WWE. Kross would be quoted saying the following.

It feels a little bit like the Twilight Zone. I don’t have any bad feelings, but it’s just a little unusual, you know? Scarlett and I always thought we were gonna be lifers there. We thought that just because we had loved the environment so much. I mean this in the most endearing way, it was kind of like the military. We would get up and we would train, you get paid to train, to become the best version of yourself, you go to perform and then you go home, and we’re very much happy with that lifestyle.

Before we were even there, she and I would operate like that. We’re very much, ‘Get up, get whatever you need into your system, go train together, and then just do whatever you got to do with the rest of your days.’ Everything is just living in preparation for the next event and that’s the way it operated there. So I’m very happy that it’s in the same town because I think the audiences will definitely piggyback off of each other and I think it’s gonna work very well.”

Since leaving WWE, Kross has made his return to Major League Wrestling. He will also take part on the Ric Flair’s Last Match card, taking on Davey Boy Smith Jr. Kross also turned down a spot in AEW, where he would have had a chance to face Wardlow – but wasn’t going to make his debut there without Bordeaux.

What do you think the future holds for Kross? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
