Mama June isn’t all in on daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson getting her weight loss procedure now. While she is supportive of young Alana getting the procedure and losing weight, she feels that she is too young to OK the decision.
Mama June Doesn’t Want Honey Boo Boo Getting Weight Loss Procedure Yet – Apparently Just Found Out About the Decision
Alana Thompson discussed being unhappy about her weight and is considering the sleeve approach. Her mother Mama June got the procedure but failed in keeping the weight off before finally achieving her goal.
When we were introduced to Mama June and Honey Boo Boo via the 2009 series Toddlers & Tiaras, Mama June weighed close to or over 400 pounds and she’d gotten up to 460 at one point. Now she’s lost roughly 300 pounds thanks to the gastric sleeve.
June’s daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon is Alana’s guardian at the moment as the former pageant contestant is just 16-years-old at the moment. She said that she would tell Pumpkin that Alana should wait for the procedure—but Pumpkin already signed off on it.
“It kind of bothers me that Pumpkin didn’t tell me. If Alana wants to do it, she should wait to sign her own paperwork at 18,” Mama June told TMZ.
What do you think? Should Alana wait or is it really none of Mama June’s business since she isn’t her legal guardian? Do you fall somewhere in between where she should wait but it’s not June’s call? Let us know down below!
