Princess Diana‘s brother, Charles Spencer, responded to news of damages paid to a former Royal nanny who was a victim of BBC journalist Martin Bashir’s allegations. He insisted that all those involved must be made to pay.

Reports from the police state that evidence has proven that Martin Bashir had manipulated Princess Diana into believing that the former Nanny, Triggy Legge-Bourke, was pregnant by Prince Charles; he also produced bank statements to the Princess’ brother to get close to him so he could meet up with Princess Diana which eventually resulted in the Royal granting the journalist the scandalous interview.
Charles Spencer Asks For Justice Against Reporter Responsible For Princess Diana’s Scandal
On Sunday, Charles revealed that he feels like he was “groomed” because Bashir has shown him Bashir made bank statements and claims of underhand payments to deceive him so he could get close to the late Princess. Speaking of her reaction, Charles said, “she was understandably rattled by this. Looking back, I suspect she was a very early victim of ‘phone-hacking’ by unknown perpetrators, but nobody knew about this criminal practice in 1995, so she was accepting of the outrageous claim that dark forces were at work.”
After the BBC released a public apology to Tiggy, now Alexandra Pettifer, Charles released a statement on Twitter. He said, “while I am delighted to see that another innocent victim of this appalling scandal is being vindicated, it’s amazing to me that no criminal charges have been leveled against those responsible, yet.” According to Charles, the aftermath of the infamous interview was Princess Diana feeling much “exposed and alone.”
Hence, she let go of her relationship with those that could have protected her when she “needed it most.” The BBC have yet to apologize for what truly matters here; the incredibly serious falsifications of bank statements suggesting Diana’s closest confidants were spying on her for her enemies,” Spencer once said in an interview with PEOPLE.
Although BBC claims that they have apologized to Tiggy, Princess Diana’s children—Prince William and Prince Harry—and Prince Charles “for the way in which Princess Diana was deceived and the subsequent impact on all their lives,” Spencer does not think it is enough.
