Last week on AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley truly shocked the world. He put down CM Punk to become the Undisputed AEW World Champion in just 3 minutes. With All Out coming up this Sunday evening, we need a challenger for Moxley – and tonight we’ll hear from the champion, and get his thoughts on what his plans for Sunday evening will be.
Jon Moxley Showed The World Just Who CM Punk Really Is
Hitting the ring with his usual fanfare and just one title over his shoulder, Jon Moxley is finally able to call himself the official first two time AEW World Champion. Fans want answers, but Moxley earned his goddamn victory lap here tonight. He’d finally get his microphone – but the CM Punk fans in the arena would start to find their voices once his music stopped.
Moxley would say they’re still mopping Punk off the mat in Cleveland, and mocked Punk calling himself the ‘modern sixty minute man’. He had 57 minutes left in him last week, but Punk didn’t. This is why Moxley is the heart and soul of AEW – he forces everyone to show exactly what they are made of in the ring.
Punk gave Moxley his best shot, and realised Moxley didn’t care. Moxley made Punk fold in Cleveland, made him curl up into a ball and look for excuses. Champions never fold, simple as that. Punk simply isn’t living up to the hype his return garnered, and is showing a fragile mind, body, ego and spirit just a year out from that big return.
Leaving An Open Contract In The Ring
Moxley has an open contract for a title match at All Out this Sunday, and he’s already signed it. He threw it into the ring, and whoever gets to it first – be it from WWE, AEW, or NJPW – whoever signs that contract, Moxley will tear them down. He’s the living embodiment of professional wrestling, and wrestling Jon Moxley is hazardous to your health.
Ace Steel would march to the ring – and grab the contract. He’s a good friend of CM Punk, and could be bringing it to the man who Moxley ran through one week ago. Are we going to get CM Punk vs. Jon Moxley II? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
